Favorite weather books

Here are a list of my favorite books about weather forecasting (links on the title will take you to Amazon to purchase if available):

General Weather Books

 

  • A World of Weather: Fundamentals of Meteorology - A college-level texbook on weather, written by the directors of the Penn State Weather Forecasting Certificate I am taking. Expensive but worth it. Loose-leaf format and comes with a CD-ROM with a lot of excellent examples and illustrations.
  • Meteorology Today - Another introductory college-level textbook.
